On March 31, 2015, Governor Mike Pence of Indiana signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law. The law gave businesses permission to discriminate against LGBT customers. On April 2, 2015, against corporate and public pressure, the Governor amended the Act. 

“Rainbow Ball” was posted to Marc Benioff's Twitter feed the day of the 2015 NCAA Men’s National Basketball Championship. The final game against Duke and Wisconsin was hosted at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
