Surf Posters

I created the following posters to promote my bestselling surf novel, That Crazy Perfect Someday, the near-future story of Mafuri Long, the only woman to conquer an 80-foot wave, and her quest for Olympic gold. With an Endless Summer vibe, the posters took on a vintage feel; each headline inspired by one of the book’s chapters. Given away at readings, “Hold Down” went on to win a Silver Award from Graphis, and won praise from a tougher audience than design judges—diehard California surfers.
